This Is Me

I was born in McAllen, grew up in Mission, and moved to Harlingen when I was 9 and lived there 9 more years, so I am puro 956, guey. I am a graduate of Harlingen South, where I marched with my Mighty Hawk Band for four amazing years.

I’m a graduate of Texas State University, with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and a Business Administration minor. I marched with the Bobcat Marching Band for the 2012 and 2013 season and had the best time doing so. I am also an alumnus of the  Theta Alpha chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi.

My husband Roger and I were married in July 2017, and we spent our wedding day frolicking around Disneyland with my sisters and parents. We've been together since July 2012, but we've known each other since 2006! We only wish we could say we've been together since the day we met in the seventh grade. Together, we have our pug Minerva (we call her Minnie!) and rescue dog Molly; three cats---Aurora, Riley, and their son Arthur; and a turtle---Nagini. We hope to start an animal rescue one day to save as many animals as we can, and educate our community on responsible pet ownership.

Because of my experiences with and love for live music, I hope to pursue a career in the live music and entertainment industry. If I can make a difference in someone's life all because they got to see their favorite band live, then I have fulfilled my dreams.

Of course, I know now that life doesn't always go the way you want it to. This blog is basically a collection of cringey things I posted as a youngling, but it does me good to keep it this way-- my embarrassing inner thoughts immortalized on the internet forever. What goes on it from this point forward is up to me I guess. Join me as I figure it out.
